I have received a proctoring alert for one of my test takers, what does it mean?



Pipplet’s Proctoring Alerts are sorted into two categories depending on the nature and severity of the issue detected: Unusual Behavior or Test Security Violation.

Proctoring Alert Categories



Unusual Behavior:



We detected some unusual behavior on the test, but the test remains valid and a grade is provided. The client is informed of the potential issue, and may wish to review the test themselves.

A grade is provided.
An orange “Unusual behavior” flag appears on the dashboard.
The test results page will provide further details of the nature of the violation.
The email containing the test takers’ results for the client explains the reason for the alert.
The evaluation report does not mention unusual behavior.

Test Security Violation:



The test taker has violated our test security guidelines, and as a result their test has been invalidated.

No grade is provided.
A red “Test Security Violation” flag appears on the dashboard.
The test results page will provide further details of the nature of the violation.
The email containing the test takers’ results for the client indicates that the test was invalidated and explains the reason for the alert.
The evaluation report will indicate that the test was invalidated.

Examples of proctoring alerts:


Multiple Voices
Multiple voices are detected in the audio recordings.

Plagiarism
Certain test content appears to have been copied from another source.

Face Mismatch
The identity verification photo and the photos taken during the test show significant discrepancies.

Suspicious Difference between Skills
There is an unusual difference between the spoken and written skills.

Possible AI Content
Some test content may have been generated using an AI tool.

Inconsistent Level in Responses
The level of the responses is not consistent throughout the test.
