Different Skills Measured

Pipplet's focus is on active skills like speaking and writing, unlike traditional tests that often measure only reading or listening comprehension. We believe in testing the full spectrum of language skills to prepare you for real-world scenarios. Keep in mind, comparing Pipplet grades with other tests may be like comparing apples to oranges, especially if the other tests rely on multiple-choice questions.

We Assess Proficiency, Not Test Tactics

Our grades reflect your genuine ability to communicate spontaneously in a language. Unlike other exams where cramming might help, Pipplet evaluates how you would naturally respond in a real-world conversation. This may explain any differences in grades between other exams and Pipplet.

Aligned with CEFR Standards

We closely follow the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) from A1 (Beginner) to C2 (Perfect mastery). Understandably, reaching C levels may be rare unless you're bilingual or have lived in a country where the target language is spoken. It's normal, for instance, to be at a B1 level in a work environment with occasional English interactions.
